Day 498: b2b
came across this case study today where a bootstrapped company got to $54k MRR in the first week of launching their product by working with a top affiliate in their space
that’s mind-blowing — distribution really is everything
i have more meager goals
what would it take for browserflow to hit $5k MRR by the end of the year?
that’s 167 customers on the $29/mo hobby plan
or 51 customers on the $99/mo startup plan
or 17 customers on the $299/mo business plan
even thought the price is significantly higher, getting 17 customers on the business plan sounds way more achievable than 167 customers on the smallest plan
there are 33 weeks left in 2021 so that’d mean getting a customer on average every other week. i feel like once i figure out a sales process and get the first 3-4 big customers signed up, the rest will be pretty straightforward. of course, i have no idea what getting those 3-4 customers will look like, but that’s the fun of all this, right
i guess this is why people go b2b — getting to a meaningful MRR is so much easier when the number of customers you need number in the dozens rather than the hundreds
