Day 461: Grill and Chill

Today was one of the most fun days I’ve had in a long time. Feeling so lucky and grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful people :’)

What made today so great:

  • Crew food prep for our lil backyard BBQ + pool fiesta

  • Swimming for the first time since Taiwan

  • Practicing cartwheels and handstands with Nat Daddy and Rick

  • Making the ultimate burger with Beyond Meat, grilled pineapples, onions, peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, and mushrooms

    • And then doing it all over again with the Impossible Meat that Ben and Mai brought and doing a direct taste comparison
    • Also trying a special kimchi + gochujang burger concocted by Shiva

  • Playing a murder mystery party where we roleplayed as various characters

    • I was a housewife and I was the murderer because freaking Stephanie married my husband when they were young and drunk and she wouldn’t sign the papers to annul their sham marriage!!!!! she had it coming

  • Getting hustled in poker by my housemates and Ben and Mai

Today was a nice reminder that as fun as sitting in front of my computer obsessing over Browserflow is, there’s just nothing like sitting around and doing nothing with people you enjoy spending time with.

Feeling incredibly content.
