Day 430: i miss the old internet

i miss when you could log onto AIM and talk with your friends for hours and put up a lil status saying that you’re eating dinner so that people would know why you’re not responding and join chatrooms where you’d meet your friends’ friends and sometimes hop into public chatrooms which in retrospect was probably filled with all sorts of strange people but then i was in there too so i guess i’m the strange one and then your crush would sign on and your heart would beat real fast as you wonder what to say to her and then she’d sign right back off and bummer you missed your chance and you realize you haven’t done any of your homework so you say gtg to all of your friends and close out the boxes and sign out and actually leave the internet
