Day 398: Week 58 Plan

Week 57

My sleep schedule is still whack and I’m getting out of bed past like 2pm on most days, which means that the rest of the day feels pretty lame. By the time I finish working out and get to The Hive to work, many people are finishing up their work days. While I’m happy that I’m starting to finally get some productive hours in, it’s not a good feeling to be the very last one leaving the co-working space.

Goals

  • Foundation

    • ❌ Sleep before 1am at least 3 times this week

    • ❌ Swim 3 times

      • Swam twice

    • ✅ Work out 3 times

  • Road to Ramen

    • ❌ Write the rest of my 2020 Review

  • Browserflow

    • ✅ Support setting the cursor in code editors (required to automate the invoicing workflow)
    • ❌ Send the private beta announcement to 10 people on the waiting list

Week 58

Okay, the big news: I’m leaving Taiwan at the end of the month. I decided that I want to spend a few more months really going hard on Browserflow and shipping it, and being in quarantine with friends back in the States sounds like a much more conducive environment than being here in Taiwan.

This means that I’m going to delay ramping up on onboarding calls since it’ll be much easier being back on a US time zone. I’ll still try to do some, but it won’t be a priority.

Now that I know I’m leaving, I can feel myself emotionally checking out and even less interested in doing random social things because I won’t be around for much longer anyway. Not sure whether to lean into this or push back because there are some friends I’ve really connected with here that I’m sure I’ll stay in contact with even after I leave.

This week’s focus: Documentation. I wrote about how I’m approaching documentation a few days ago, and I want to make it easy for new and current users to understand how to use Browserflow effectively.

Goals

  • Foundation

    • Wake up before 10am at least 3 times

      • Setting a bed time isn’t working so maybe it’ll be easier to force myself to get up and then feel tired and go to bed earlier? Dunno

    • Work out once

      • Gym is closed for most of this week due to Chinese New Year 😭

  • Road to Ramen

    • Write the rest of my 2020 Review

      • Okay, I think I just need to get this out even if it feels half-assed because otherwise it’s not going to happen

  • Browserflow

    • Create mechanism to display changelog when Browserflow updates

      • I’ll use this to point people to the new documentation and breaking changes

    • Create beginner tutorial

    • Create reference for all commands
