Day 349: Week 51 Plan
Week 50
Goals from last week:
-
Browserflow
- ❌ Email 5 people from the waitlist about joining the beta
-
Browserflow Cloud
- ❌ Allow saving files
- ❌ Allow taking screenshots
- ❌ Implement loops
- ❌ Allowing scheduling flows
All the incomplete tasks under Browserflow Cloud was expected since I decided during the November review to focus on the extension before moving onto cloud functionality, but I have no excuse for not having yet emailed five people.
So what did I do all week? Mostly socializing. I fixed some minor bugs in Browserflow (and there are still a few new ones to work through), but for the most part, I’ve been spending time hanging out with friends.
Week 51
This week, I’m going to a bunch of events with friends this week (I’ve gone 0 to 100 from having a minimal social life while quarantining this year to hyper-socializing, and this seems to be a common experience for foreigners who come to Taiwan), and I’ve decided to simply be okay with the fact that I’m not going to get much work done this upcoming week.
Since I worked my butt off all year in hermit mode, I’ll let myself indulge in hanging out with people and not being as productive at least until the end of the year.
Once January begins and I start my membership at the local co-working space, I’d like to make sure I strike a better balance where I’m not just playing all the time.
One thing I do want to work on this week are the well-being foundations like sleep, exercise, and digital minimalism.
Sleep
Due to staying up and hanging out with people, my sleep schedule went from amazing to terrible in no time at all.
During my two-week quarantine:

This past week:

Sleeping super late is no bueno.
Exercise
During my first BJJ class here last week, someone kneed me too hard and bruised a rib. I went to train again today, and it apparently was a terrible idea (especially when drilling with a partner much heavier than me) because now my ribs hurt even more. I’ll probably have to rest completely for several weeks to prevent prolonging or worsening the injury.
I went swimming for the first time in forever at a local sports center (the public facilities here are amazing) and I think I’ll do more of that as exercise. I tried doing a pull-up but my ribs hurt a ton so I think that’s a no-go.
Digital Minimalism
Since I’m staying at this hostel for this month and the only outlet available is next to the bed, I’ve fallen back into my least favorite habit of using my phone in bed. I need to cut that out because I know that using my phone before going to sleep / after waking up is terrible for my sleep and well-being. It’s harder here since I can’t ditch my phone at an outlet away from my bed, but I’ll try to fix this by being vigilant about putting my phone on airplane mode whenever I go to bed.
Goals
-
Sleep before 12am at least 3 times
- Since I’m going out several times this week, I won’t be able to go to bed early every night
-
Swim at least 3 times
-
Don’t use my phone in bed on any night
