Day 198: The Illusion of Separation

There was a moment today, in the middle of coding, when I looked past my monitor into the room, and the separation between me and everyone disappeared.

To be more accurate, it’s not that the separation disappeared (because it never was really there to begin with) — it’s that I was able to clearly see past the illusion of separation.

Stedman and Cathy were pair programming in front of me, and I didn’t see two “others” working. They were more like extensions of myself, with me not being “DK” but simply consciousness experiencing life in a myriad of forms.

It was like a wave looking back at the ocean and realizing how even though other waves have their own form and manifestation, the water that comprises their essence is exactly the same.

And with that, there came a quiet peace in the reminder that I am everything and everything is me.
