Day 148: Untitled

One consequence of me going into hermit mode and coding nonstop for the past week has been that I haven’t really been communicating with the outside world. I’ve put off checking my emails, my Slack channels, my messages, and social media. I chose a hell of a time to go off the grid.

I just went on Twitter and watched a bunch of videos of the riots, the looting, and the police tear gassing and shooting people with rubber bullets. Wow. What is there to say?

It’s crazy that the police have so much power and still get away with abusing that power. It’s awful that being black in America is still such a painful experience. And of course, black lives matter.

That’s it for today. I’m not adding anything new to the conversation, but it just feels silly and insensitive to write about building Chrome extensions or an indie business without acknowledging how absurd our current situation is.
