Day 562: anyone can do it

personal

when i see the thousands of random businesses on sites like indie hackers, failory, and starter story that have succeeded, i feel like:

  • anyone can start their own business and make it work given enough time and effort
  • there are so many things that can work so you might as well choose something that you enjoy

i get the same feeling when i come across some twitter account or youtube channel that feels so incredibly niche and bizarre and is yet still quite popular:

  • you can build an audience doing basically anything so you might as well be authentic to yourself and do things your way rather than transforming into whatever you think people want

all the admiration in the world won’t help if you don’t love yourself
