Day 549: failing to prioritize

my current process for deciding what to work on is largely have other people decide for me. someone comes in asking for a change that will only impact 0.1% of use cases? i start investigating and spend hours on it

this is obviously a terrible method because it fails to prioritize all the different things i could be doing. i should work on the Big Thing that will improve browserflow 2x rather than a tiny change that barely anyone will notice. yet i keep falling into the trap of doing the latter

i think i need to spend a week reading getting things done and developing a system to manage all my tasks because this is not working so hot
