Day 117: Pet chickens
Oops, I started writing the April Review and then forgot about it and now it’s 11:33pm and I’m feeling quite tired and I don’t want to stay up to finish the review so I’m just going to talk about how it’s crazy that April is gone already because it feels like I wrote the March review so recently and boy is time just whizzing on by and that means that I’m not introducing much novelty in my life because new things break up psychological time and that’s one of the reasons why traveling is so enjoyable because it makes the days feel quite long but to be honest, having a stable routine is not too bad either because I get to work on things that I enjoy but I guess it would be nice to introduce something new into my life like a pet chicken or perhaps many chickens because they are lovely creatures and last week I was in a Zoom call with a bunch of my old schoolmates from Princeton and two of them are independently raising a bunch of chickens in the middle of nowhere and that sounds like a lot of fun and I kind of want a rooster to wake up in the morning with its cockadoodledoo because I definitely romanticize living out in nature, working the land, and being reliant on yourself and I have a dream of one day buying some land and cultivating it and inviting all my friends to go live out there with me and we can start a little community and maybe we can have the indie collective that I talked about some weeks back out there and have fun living off the land and tinkering with products and other creative projects and boy would that be swell.
